Alexandre Lacazette will make his Arsenal debut against Sydney FC on Thursday.
The French striker has joined up with his new teammates for the pre-season tour of Australia.
Arsenal kick off their schedule at ANZ Stadium before facing Sydney Wanderers on Saturday.
And after confirming Lacazette will wear the No.9 shirt next season, Wenger revealed he would play some part this week.
“Lacazette will make his debut here, yes,” said Arsene Wenger after arriving in Sydney.
“On Thursday night he will certainly play a part in the game and in the other game as well. In the two games he will take part.”
Fellow new boy Sead Kolasinac will also feature in the encounters down under after his arrival from Schalke.
Wenger is delighted with the arrivals as he bids to take the club back into the Champions League.
“We play football based on movement, technical qualities and mobility, and I believe that both of the new signings can integrate well into the team,” he added,
“One is a defender who can play on the flank and centrally, and one is a striker with a very good goalscoring record, so I believe that they are great additions to the team.
“It’s a good opportunity as well to have a first look at how well and how quickly they will integrate with the way we want to play.”
