Alves claims Dybala must leave Juventus to reach the next level

Date Posted,June 15, 2017

Paulo Dybala emerged as one of the next superstars of the game this season with a series of fine displays for Juventus to lead them to the Champions League final.

Team-mate Dani Alves has praised the Argentinian but delivered some frightening news to Juventini, insisting their prized jewel simply must leave to reach the next level.

The former Palermo starlet has been linked with Alves’ former club Barcelona, as well as Real Madrid, who could intensify their interest if Cristiano Ronaldo really does pursue a move away from the Bernabeu this summer.

“La Joya [Dybala’s nickname] will bear fruit,” Alves said in an interview on Esporte Interativo.

“We have spoken many times and I told him that one day, I do not know when, he will have to leave Juventus to improve even more.”

Dybala recently penned new terms with the Old Lady though, with a deal running until 2022, meaning they are in line to receive an enormous fee if he does depart.

Jorge Sampaoli has immediately installed Dybala at the centre of his plans for Argentina alongside Lionel Messi, with the World Cup next summer likely to display his greatness yet further.
