Date Posted,June 6, 2017

Mario Balotelli is set for a surprise move to Borussia Dortmund, according to his agent, with the Italian now a free agent.

The former Manchester City and Liverpool star enjoyed a fine year with Nice in Ligue 1 but is now on the move once again.

A surprise move to the Bundesliga is on the cards with super agent Mino Raiola confirming BVB is an option for the 26-year-old.

“Yes, Balotelli can go play at Borussia Dortmund,” Raiola is reported to have told Bild.

Balotelli scored 15 goals in 23 games to help Les Aiglons qualify for next season’s Champions League and reignite his career.

Raiola is thought to be in the North Rhine-Westphalia city to thrash out a deal that would see Balotelli back amongst Europe’s elite clubs.

Former Ajax coach Peter Bosz has been announced as the club’s new coach after Thomas Tuchel’s departure and Balotelli may well become his first signing at the Westfalenstadion.
