Barca fans convinced former boss Enrique aimed dig at Neymar in goodbye message

Date Posted,August 4, 2017

Barcelona fans are convinced former manager Luis Enrique aimed a cheeky dig at Neymar while wishing him all the best for the future at Paris Saint-Germain.

Enrique has a long-term love affair with the Catalan giants, having represented them as both a player and, up until the end of last season, a boss.

In the campaign just gone he guided Barcelona to the Copa del Rey, although missed out on both the La Liga title and the Champions League.

Ernesto Valverde took over the top job ahead of the new season and was in charge when Neymar completed a £199million move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian 25-year-old received a number of good luck messages from many people still associated with Barcelona.

Lionel Messi posted a slideshow of the duo to his Instagram page, while Luis Suarez also took to social media to wish the star well.

So it wasn’t too much of a surprise to see Enrique post a message for the forward, after he completed his record-breaking move.

Taking to Twitter, the Spaniard wrote: “Great pleasure to have trained you. Keep infecting your joy and your magic. I wish you a lot of success. Health!”

However, it was the picture he used alongside the message that caught the eye among Barcelona fans, who are convinced it is a sly dig.

The image itself merely shows Neymar hugging Enrique last season.

But the eagle-eyed have pointed out that the snap was taken moments after Barcelona smashed the Brazilian’s new team 6-1 in the Champions League. Brilliant!
