“Bring our son back!” Arsenal fans are calling on Wenger to re-sign Fabregas

Date Posted,June 11, 2017

Arsenal fans have been very vocal all season.

Whether it be a section demanding the club make Alexis Sanchez sign an extension on his contract or another section calling for Arsene Wenger to stand down, they’ve all been pretty animated.

Now that the season is over and the transfer window will soon be open, they’re starting to get vocal about who the club should look to sign.

Top of the pack is Kylian Mbappe – the youngster dubbed the next Thierry Henry who is capable of re-energising the Gunners’ attacking style of play.

While superstars including Alexandre Lacazette and Arda Turan are also featured pretty highly on the fans’ – and the club’s for that matter – summer wish list.

One person who probably didn’t expect to feature on the wish list of the Arsenal fans is former Gunners midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

It’s not that the Spaniard was a poor performer during his time in north London – in fact he was easily one of their best players in his day.

It’s just that after he left for Barcelona he returned to the Premier League and put pen to paper with Arsenal’s rivals Chelsea.

The decision, as you’d expect, hit the Gunners fans hard, but throughout his time at Stamford Bridge Fabregas never denied his Arsenal affiliation.

And now it seems Arsenal supporters, who believe the Spaniard has been told he is surplus to requirements at Chelsea – although this has not been confirmed – want him to return to the Emirates Stadium.

Football is a funny old game…
