Conte insists Hazard happy at Stamford Bridge despite Real Madrid’s attempts to unsettle Chelsea star

Date Posted,March 30, 2017

Eden Hazard is happy at Chelsea despite Real Madrid’s efforts to unsettle him, claims Antonio Conte.

The Belgian winger has been in sensational form this campaign, inspiring the Blues to the top of the Premier League.

And the Italian insists he is happy at Stamford Bridge despite the La Liga giant attempting to get inside the player’s head with speculation in the Spanish media surrounding a summer move.

“Now it’s important for my players to be focused on the present, not look too far forward. It’s dangerous,” Conte said in his pre-match press conference.

“Eden is a Chelsea player. He is happy with us and we’re happy with him. I don’t see any problem

“This [rumours linking the player with a move] is part of the game, to create difficulty in the mind of the player.”

Conte also denied having a conversation with Hazard about the rumours and revealed his talisman is ready to return against Crystal Palace following an injury.

“No. I don’t think it’s important. I like to talk with him about this season, about this game,” Conte added.

“I’m confident [he’ll be fit], not just to play but to play very good.”
