Defender Mings shocks fans by accepting invitation to join seven-a-side game

Date Posted,May 23, 2017

Bournemouth star Tyrone Mings was so desperate for a kickabout that he reached out to his followers on Twitter to see if anybody needed a ringer.

As far as late call-ups go, Mings must be one of the best around, and the 24-year-old was joined by Yeovil Town player Omar Sowunmi.

Mings posed with fans after the game and seemed grateful for the run-out after just nine appearances for Eddie Howe’s outfit this season.

It started with a plea to his followers, Mings wrote: “I wanna go kick some ball tonight.”

One fan offered him a game at 8:30 and Mings enquired whether it was indoors before hearing back that it was on a 4G surface.

A picture of Mings with a fan and a group photo after the game emerged soon after with the players clearly buoyed by the unique opportunity to mix it with the Premier League player.
