Alvaro Morata’s been in English football a matter of seconds, and he’s already on the wrong end of some ribbing courtesy of rival fans.

Chelsea announced they had signed the former Real Madrid forward on a five-year deal on Friday, with the transfer fee reportedly in the region of £67million.

The Spaniard will link up with his new Blues teammates on their pre-season tour of Asia, where he will be keen to show the world what he can do.

Upon completing his move, the 24-year-old told the club’s official website: “I am so happy to be here. It’s an incredible emotion to be part of this big club.

“I am looking to work hard, score as many goals as I can and to win as many trophies as possible.”

However, he also recorded a quick video for the club’s Twitter page…

It was a short but sweet message in which he introduced himself, said he was happy to finally be a Blues player, and cheered: “Come on Chelsea.”

So as you can imagine fans of other clubs quickly responded in the way you just knew they would.
