Gabriel Jesus gives Guardiola huge boost with City star back up and running

Date Posted,April 6, 2017

Gabriel Jesus has posted his most promising injury update yet with the Brazilian literally back up and running.

Despite a deal being agreed for the 20-year-old last summer, Manchester City fans were made to wait until January to see the promising Brazilian striker. Jesus had to see out his season with Palmeiras.

But it was worth the wait as the striker got off to a blistering start scoring three goals in his first three starts.

However, on his fourth appearance for the club, back in February, the talented forward fractured his metatarsal against Bournemouth.

Man City's Gabriel Jesus is still on crutches as he heads for a day out with his family on Thursday afternoon. Gabriel's friend posted a video on Instagram shown him riding an electric scooter in The Trafford Centre.

City’s new striker was immediately ruled out for two to three months – and possibly for the rest of the season.

Since then, Jesus has been seen motoring around on mobility scooters and hobbling about on crutches.

Manchester City's injured striker Gabriel Jesus leaves his Salford apartment block on Wednesday morning and gets into a chauffeur driven Range Rover and taken to the Man City training complex for treatment. Gabriel was carrying his EXOGEN Kit which is an ultrasound treatment that speeds up the body's natural bone healing process.

However, the striker has posted his most encouraging update yet – he’s full on running.

As seen above, Jesus is using a specialised treadmill to get back on his feet. Should his rate of recovery continue, the 20-year-old could provide Pep Guardiola with a huge boost going into season’s end.
