Guardiola ditched England No.1 Hart weeks and just a single Champions League qualifier after joining City last summer – expelling him to Torino on loan for the season.
Hart, who still has two years left on his current City deal, has impressed in Serie A – helping Torino into 10th in the table having only conceded 52 times.
City have suffered a keeping crisis with Willy Caballero and Claudio Bravo both failing to impress this campaign.
And with City out the title race this season, Guardiola will assess his goalkeepers at the end of the season and decide whether Hart can earn a place back in his squad.
“At the end of the season we’ll speak,” Guardiola said. “We follow all the players who are on loan.
“I like both of my keepers to be involved, I have confidence in both Bravo and Caballero. We will see.”
City travel to Southampton to Saturday as they attempt to cement their place in the top four.
But they will be without skipper Vincent Kompany again after he suffered another leg injury.
“After Chelsea Kompany had a little problem in the leg and we didn’t want to take risk, but he was able to play 90 minutes at a high level.”
