Eden Hazard claims N’Golo Kante deserves to be crowned Player of the Year.
The Chelsea duo are both on the Professional Footballers’ Association six man shortlist with the winner announced tonight at the annual awards ceremony.
But Hazard says Kante deserves it this time for his part in Chelsea’s drive towards the Premier League and FA Cup Double.
Hazard said: “Ngolo deserves it. Not only for this season but for his two seasons together in the Premier League.
“He is my favourite and I hope he gets it because that would be something for a player who do not always score and decide the matches.
“He is decisive but in a different way. And that would be good for football. “
Hazard insists that he would dedicate his award to Kante even if he wins tonight.
He added: ”If I get it, I will invite Ngolo to come to me with the stage. So we can divide him with two. “
Harry Kane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez are also shortlisted.
