“He will battle with the best”: Mbappe pens deal as Ramos hails Real target

Date Posted,July 7, 2017

Kylian Mbappe might be in demand at the moment but it seems only Nike Football have been able to tie him down to a brand new deal.

The 18-year-old got pulses racing on social media when he posed to sign a contract with the footwear manufacturing company.

He uploaded the picture to Instagram, where he caused a bit of a stir among fans thinking he was either penning a new deal at Monaco or moving on.

But for the time being at least it seems he will be staying at Stade Louis II, despite the continued interest from Europe’s elite.

Just this week Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos heaped praise on the teen, who Los Blancos have been keeping a close eye on.

He told Foot Mercato: “I saw him in matches that I played against him and those in the Champions League last season.

“He is a great player with enormous potential. He is a fast player who unsettles his opponents and has abilities to score goals. He will battle with the best.”

“It’s a very good squad, very complete with young players who are no longer prospects for the future.

“They have players who have shown they are very good: Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane, Mbappe.

“They are the players who make the difference and I think France will be one of the teams to be beat in the next few years.”
