Inter ‘furious’ with Perisic – after United target plays in beach volleyball comp

Date Posted,July 2, 2017

Inter Milan have reportedly been left furious with Ivan Perisic – after he took part in a professional beach volleyball competition.

Perisic, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, is allegedly set to be fined after breaking club rules.

Bild report that Inter are unhappy that he could have been injured while playing a completely different sport.

Perisic paired with Niksa Dell’Orco in a match against Brazilian duo Alvaro Morais Filho and Saymon Barbosa Santos at the Porec Major event in his native Croatia.

The fine could cause friction between Perisic and Inter as transfer speculation is set to be ramped up.

It was initially thought that Inter might have to sell Perisic in order to comply with UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations.

But Perisic remains at the San Siro for the time being.

United have been closely linked with a move for Perisic during this summer – and the Croatian is said to ‘appreciate’ and ‘enjoy’ the work of Jose Mourinho.

The Manchester Evening News report that the 28-year-old is keen on a return to the Champions League following a four-year absence.

While he is content with life in Milan, the father-of-two allegedly sees this summer as his big chance to move to the Premier League.

Perisic has previously enjoyed spells in France, Belgium, Germany and Italy.
