It will only get harder for Liverpool to win the league if they fail, says Stoke boss Hughes

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has warned Liverpool that breaking their Premier League title duck will get even harder if they fail to win it this season.

Hughes, who was part of the Manchester United team that ended the club’s 26-year title drought in 1993, takes his Potters side to Anfield on Tuesday.

And he has delivered a warning to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who are trying to halt the Reds’ long wait for a title at 27 years this season.

“Every year it’s more difficult,” warned Hughes.

“Every year it keeps perpetuating it becomes more difficult.
