Jurgen Klopp celebrated turning 50 with a big birthday bash in Hermany.
The Liverpool boss reached the milestone on Friday and held a party on Thursday night with his nearest and dearest.
And among those reportedly in attendance at Dagoberthausen Hall in Marburg were his former Dortmund players Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Klopp helped both Gotze and Lewandowski establish themselves as two of the finest talents in Europe during his seven-year stay with Dortmund, and both were in attendance with their respective partners to celebrate with their former coach.
Klopp greeted guests upon their arrival alongside his mother Elisabeth and wife Ulla, and party-goers were treated to a performance from German rock band Die Toten Hosen.
“This party was typical Klopp,” report Bild.
“‘Kloppo’ let his guests ride to the rural address and he was there in a blue suit, white shirt and white sneakers, as well as a warm embrace.”
It is unclear if anyone with Liverpool connections attended, but one player who was forced to miss out was Bayern Munich centre-back Mats Hummels.
The former Dortmund defender revealed that Klopp chose to have the party on the same day as his wedding anniversary.
“On June 15 it is his celebration,” Hummels told German television station ZDFneo earlier this month.
“He certainly knows this, it is not a surprise party.
“And he had to choose my wedding day, which is why I cannot come [otherwise] I would have been at Kloppo’s 50th, of course.”
A thunderstorm eventually centred over the Dagobertshausen Hall later in the afternoon, but failed to “disturb the great mood” according to Bild.
