Like father, like son! Ronaldo congratulates son on being picked to play for Brazil U18s

Date Posted,July 7, 2017

It seems Brazil legend Ronaldo has passed on his genes.

The son of the Real Madrid and Inter Milan hero has been selected to represent Brazil in this year’s Maccabiah games – and it’s safe to say his dad is a little excited.

Ronald Nazario de Lima has a very long way to go if he is to follow in the footsteps of his World Cup winning dad, but he’s certainly taking steps in the right direction.

The Maccabiah games is one of the world’s largest sporting events, and could launch the next generation of Brazilian stars.

And Ronaldo is delighted his son is a part of the team travelling to Jerusalem.

Writing alongside a photo of the squad, Ronaldo said: “This is the Brazilian team representing the people in the World Macabbiah 2017.

“A special hug for my son Ronald Lima who is in the Under-18 soccer team. Good luck, guys! Go for it, Brazil!”

Ronaldo was born in Italy in 1999 while his dad was representing Inter Milan.

And the teenager is blessed with football in his blood on both sides of the family, as his mum Milene Domingues was also a Brazil international.
