Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is convinced the Reds are back where they belong after qualifying for the Champions League next season and has nothing but praise for the way Jurgen Klopp has transformed the club.
Suarez still keeps a close eye on developments at Anfield and was thrilled to see them finish in the top four.
Liverpool will face a Champions League qualifier at the end of August and Klopp has already got his players doing double training sessions as he looks to ensure they reach the group stages.
Suarez, who left the club to join Barcelona back in July 2014, has no doubts the Reds will be a match for any team in the the competition and deserve to take their place alongside Europe’s big guns.
Suarez, speaking in LFCTV’s latest episode of ‘What LFC Means To Me’, said: “Liverpool always have to be competing in the Champions League.
“I think the new manager, Klopp, needed a bit of time, because he came in during the previous season, but he’s had a fantastic [first full] campaign.
“I think that things will go even better next season because he’s a quality coach and he has a lot of players who can make the difference.
“Absolutely, Liverpool is a club that should always be involved in the Champions League.”
