Lukaku faces US court hearing in October after he is arrested in Los Angeles

Date Posted,July 8, 2017

Romelu Lukaku was ‘arrested’ by cops in Los Angeles for ‘disturbing the peace’ at his rented mansion in Beverley Hills, it has been reported.

According to American news outlet TMZ Sports, the striker – who Manchester United have reached a£75million fee to sign from Everton – ‘was not brought to the police station or formally booked’. Instead, he was ‘merely given a citation’.

The incident reportedly occurred on July 2 when the 24-year-old Belgium international allegedly triggered multiple complaints from nearby residents.

Police are said to have been called to the rented property a total of six times where Lukaku was ‘told’ to keep down the noise.

But after allegedly failing to do so, he was arrested by for the misdemeanor of disturbing the peace.

TMZ Sports suggest he was not hauled into the police station, however, and only a citation was issued.

Manchester United, when contacted by Mirror Sport, declined to comment on the matter since the player is not yet registered to them. Everton nor Lukaku have not yet spoken on the reported incident either.
