Man United players arrive for training as Mourinho’s men bid to get top-four bid back on track against Sunderland

Date Posted,April 5, 2017

Manchester United’s stars turned up at training on Thursday ready to get their Champions League dreams back on track.

United face Sunderland on Sunday ahead of their Europa League quarter-final clash with Anderlecht.

The Red Devils’ European ambitions for next season could be accelerated on demolished in a crunch week – before a weekend off.

Jose Mourinho has hinted he will put all his efforts into the Europa League – with the winners getting an automatic place in next season’s main tournament.

But a poor first-leg against the Belgian side could put ruin to that.

Their other route to the elite league is to come in the top four of the Premier League – but they are currently four points adrift of rivals Manchester City.

A shock defeat to bottom side Black Cats would be disastrous to their league hopes – and would effectively rule them out of a top four finish.
