“People say that I should use a dating app and stuff. I would never use one of those. I don’t think it would be wise.
“I’ve already told my sons not to set me up on one. I don’t want to go down that route.”
As well as being the face of the BBC’s and BT Sport’s football coverage, Lineker has a longstanding association with Walkers crisps.
In a recent candid interview, Lineker responded to an infamous Glastonbury Festival banner.
He said: “There was a big banner at Glastonbury once saying, ‘Gary Lineker sh*gs crisps’. But I honestly don’t.
“I think they’d just crumble anyway!”
Lineker also added that he is recognised from the Walkers commercials “on a daily basis”.
