Movie-hating Owen has now watched THIRTEEN films – here are his reviews

Date Posted,August 10, 2017

Self-confessed film hater Michael Owen has revealed he has now watched THIRTEEN films.

Three years ago Owen caused a sensation when he admitted on Twitter he’d only watched eight films in his life.

The former Liverpool, Real Madrid and England star named his eight as Rocky, Heat, Ghost, Jurassic Park, Cool Runnings, Seabiscuit, Karate Kid and Forrest Gump.

But in a new feature in Shortlist magazine, he’s now added Creed and four Rocky sequels to the mix.

However, if you think the man who memorably tweeted #HateFilms has changed his stance, think again.

He confirmed he didn’t particularly like any of the films he has been ‘forced’ to watch.

“I just can’t get into them,” he told Shortlist. “I don’t like to be kidded.”

Undeterred, the magazine asked him to review ten films he has seen.

Rocky I, II, III, IV, V

“Rocky IV’s my favourite film. Didn’t like Rocky I, it’s rubbish.”

Jurassic Park

“I thought Jurassic Park was quite good, actually.”

Heat

“Wasn’t great.”

Ghost

“It was alright. I can’t really remember what happened.”

Cool Runnings

“I was in Hell, having to pretend I liked it.”

Creed

“It was alright. I’d have preferred a good documentary, to be honest.”

His views on Seabiscuit, Karate Kid and Forrest Gump remain undisclosed.
