The Germany international could make his first start for seven weeks against Manchester City on Sunday after suffering a variety of knocks.
But Neville is not looking forward to watching the ex-Real Madrid ace who has netted five Premier League goals this season, but none since December 10.

Huge injury boost for Arsenal star ahead of weekend crunch match
Wantaway Ozil, along with Alexis Sanchez, is out of contract at the end of next season and has so far refused to sign a new deal at the Emirates.
However Neville, who has previously stated “I’ve never seen Ozil take responsibility”, isn’t overly fussed if the £42million man were to depart this summer.
“His [Wenger’s] loyalty in some of his players is misplaced, it really is,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“They disappoint me a few of them. They have a weak spine and the idea they are blaming the managerial situation, that they are melting on the pitch because of the negativity around the club, typifies them.
“I don’t like the Sanchez situation but I think on the pitch I can live with it because it looks like he fights for every single thing in the world.
“With Mesut Ozil I can’t be watching him play football sometimes and that sounds disrespectful from someone who was a clobber as a football player.
“But when you watch Messi and Ronaldo who give their all in every single match I won’t sit here and accept that someone plays football looking like he’s down a coal mine.”
