Ramos ‘laughs at Mourinho’ as Man United boss argues with ref after Super Cup loss

Date Posted,August 10, 2017

It seems Sergio Ramos was delighted with Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Manchester United in the Super Cup on Tuesday.

So much so that he was filmed laughing while standing by Jose Mourinho arguing with the match officials following the fixture.

Spanish channel Chiringuito TV spotted the Los Blancos star giggling, posting a clip of the moment to Twitter along with the caption: “Do not miss the laugh of Ramos during the protests of Mourinho.”

And well, the video generated a bit of a reaction online, with some football fans giggling at the footage, and others getting a little annoyed.

It can’t be confirmed whether the Spaniard was indeed laughing at his former boss, or whether he was simply enjoying his side’s victory.

But the clip shows him standing directly behind Mourinho, apparently aware of his animated conversation with the referee.

After a short while the defender turns around to look at his teammates, and can be seen grinning wildly, apparently in reaction to the Portuguese.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Mourinho outlined his frustration, saying: “With a good VAR it would be 1-1 and extra time.

“I think they could score more goals than they did, and we could score more goals than we did.

“I think they had a period of dominance in the middle of the first half. We had a period of dominance in the middle of second half, and the rest was balanced.

“We were playing against a team full of fantastic players, but we discussed the result until almost the end.

“Then Cristiano came on and the referee wanted to show the respect for this amazing player. Every time Cristiano wanted it, the ref blew for a free-kick and the game was stopped. But we gave them a good fight.”
