Real Madrid president Perez to discuss Ronaldo situation on Monday

Date Posted,June 16, 2017

Florentino Perez is set to offer an update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future on Monday.

The Real Madrid president is due to speak live on Spanish radio station Onda Cero where he is expected to be asked about Ronaldo.

And Real fans will be hoping Perez can guarantee their star man will still be at the club next season.

The Portuguese star reportedly wants to quit Real this summer after he was accused of tax fraud.

Los Blancos insist Ronaldo will not be sold during the window and have placed a £174.5m price tag on him – with his release clause reportedly set at £875m.

Ronaldo made the decision to leave Los Blancos two months ago, but only told agent Jorge Mendes and his close pals, according to AS .

Mendes recommended his client said nothing until after the Champions League final to stop a destabilising environment for the squad.

Ronaldo was left furious after his alleged tax irregularities, over his image rights, were published around the world.

He was also annoyed that his criticism was the same as Barca rival Lionel Messi – with the Argentine handed a 21-month prison sentence for tax fraud.

Ronaldo helped Real win La Liga and the Champions League last season.
