The Belgian playmaker is top of Zinedine Zidane’s wish list and the Bernabeu club are expected to make an approach in the summer.
Chelsea are refusing to comment publicly on whether they will consider an approach for the 26-year-old, who has netted 11 times this season.
But will be buoyed by his comments, which suggest he is not quite ready to leave London, as his children are happy in the capital.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Hazard said he could see himself living in England long-term, perhaps even after he has retired.
“Maybe I will live in Belgium [after retirement], to be close to the family, or else I could go somewhere with nice weather.
“My kids are very settled in London so it could be here, that’s a long way off yet so we will see.”
Hazard, who is understood to be learning Spanish, also admitted he would like to be able to speak a number of languages.
“I’d like to learn the Chinese or Japanese languages because they’re completely different to anything else,” he said.
