The Red Devils record-signing has been on holiday with the £75million striker in Los Angeles, and the pair had a dance together before the transfer was officially announced on Saturday.
The video, which Pogba posted to Instagram, shows the duo in the Hollywood hills, close to where they will rendezvous with the United squad on Sunday, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Writing alongside the clip, Pogba said: “See you tomorrow in training @rlukaku9.”
The United midfielder accompanied his caption with ‘bienvenue’ (welcome) and used the hashtag ‘#AgentP’, accompanied by a detective emoji. The post was liked by United target Ivan Perisic.
The pair exchange a few words in French before dancing together and Pogba exclaims ‘Yes sir!’
It is understood Pogba and Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola played a decisive role in advising the Everton striker to join United over former club Chelsea.
A year ago, recent United signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic had dinner with Pogba on holiday in Los Angeles and it seems Pogba has played a similar role in encouraging Lukaku to move to United this year.
On Saturday morning, United said: “Manchester United is delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to a medical & personal terms.
“A further announcement will be made in due course.”
Senior United sources insist Lukaku was their ‘principal target’ they had pursued ‘for months’. The M.E.N. revealed Jose Mourinho ended United’s pursuit of fall-back option Alvaro Morata earlier this week since he was concerned Real Madrid were dragging out negotiations in order to eventually offer Morata a new contract and portray a possible renewal as a coup.
In recent years, United’s pursuit of Real players Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos ended with the players inking extensions at the Bernabeu.
United worked on a Morata deal over the last month but once it transpired Lukaku was amenable to reuniting with Mourinho rather than rejoining Chelsea Ed Woodward parked negotiations with Real.
Lukaku will become United’s second most expensive addition after Pogba, who rejoined the club from Juventus for £89m last year.
