Tottenham’s Harry Kane has won the Premier League golden boot for the 2016-17 season after a final day hat-trick saw him reach 29 goals for the campaign.
The England striker has been in red-hot form again this season by notching over 20 goals for the third season running.
Kane beat his previous efforts of 21 and 25 over the last two seasons prior to Spurs’ last game with Hull, but added three goals on the final day for good measure in a 7-1 win.
It took Kane less than 11 minutes to put Spurs’ two-up against Championship-bound Hull, before he added his third, and Spurs fifth, later in the second half.
This is the second time Kane has won the golden boot having picked it up last season, and he remains just one of two players to win the award for Tottenham, along with Teddy Sheringham .
The 23-year-old grabbed three other hat-tricks over the course of the season, including four goals against Leicester in Spurs’ penultimate game.
Sanchez was able to add to his season’s tally to go level with Lukaku on 24, before the Everton hitman added his 25th of the season from the spot to pull ahead of the Chilean.
