St Johnstone duo sent off at half time for fighting EACH OTHER in Hamilton defeat

Date Posted,March 31, 2017

Two St Johnstone players were sent off at half-time as they lost 1-0 to Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership.

A last-gasp goal sealed the three points for the hosts, but it is the mass brawl at the break that will take the headlines, report the Daily Record.

Police have confirmed there were also a ‘number’ of arrests.

Chaos broke out as the players trudged towards the tunnel at New Douglas Park.

Team-mates Danny Swanson and Richard Foster had to be dragged away from each other after an altercation.

The pair were sent to the stands for their conduct.

Back on the pitch, the game was clinched after Brazillian Alexandre D’Acol prodded past Alan Mannus at the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed there had been reports of a “disturbance” at the stadium and officers were responding to it. There have been a number of arrests outside the ground.
