Swansea’s hopes of landing Chris Coleman as new boss shut down – by Mrs Coleman

Date Posted,December 28, 2016

Chris Coleman’s wife has delivered a clear indication on whether he will be taking the Swansea job.

The Wales manager’s wife, TV presenter Charlotte, has taken to Twitter to all but rule out his move to the Liberty Stadium.

It had started to look likely that Coleman was going to take the hotseat in south Wales and remains the bookmakers’ favourite to do so, report WalesOnline.

But she took to Twitter to cool the rumours in responding to another user who suggested she might enjoy living in Mumbles.

“The Mumbles are lovely but my husband has said publicly that after Wales we would hopefully move abroad – but good luck to Swansea!”

Furthermore, despite being at the top of the Swans’ wishlist, an FAW spokesperson confirmed the governing body had received no approach from the Premier League club.

Charlotte also went on to suggest that Chris is going to be on the New Year’s Honours List.

She, quite cryptically, tweeted: “Looking forward to seeing who is on the New Years Honours List”

And when another user responded suggesting that her husband, the Wales boss, might be on it, she simply replied with an emoji.
