“There’s only ONE team in London” – Gallas insists Blues are capital’s finest

Date Posted,March 30, 2017

Former Chelsea and Arsenal star William Gallas has hit back at Arsene Wenger for claiming the Gunners are the only club in London.

Wenger responded to suggestions that Alexis Sanchez could move to Stamford Bridge after admitting he wanted to stay in the capital, but only for a team capable of winning trophies.

Gallas, who joined the Gunners from the Blues in 2006, insists his former boss is wrong.

“Biggest team in London is Chelsea,” Gallas told talkSPORT. “They are top of the league, won it four times & they’ve won the Champions League.”

Chelsea are on their way to winning their fifth Premier League title after building a 10 point lead in the Premier League.

The Blues are 19 clear of the Gunners and could meet in the FA Cup final should both sides win their semi-finals next month.
