United fans are getting very excited about Morata’s recent social media activity

Date Posted,June 8, 2017

Manchester United are keen on signing Alvaro Morata, that’s no secret.

The Red Devils have already attempted to bring the Real Madrid forward to Old Trafford but saw their £52million approach turned down.

Jose Mourinho is set to give Los Blancos a £60million ultimatum, as they look to secure a suitable Zlatan Ibrahimovic replacement ahead of next season.

And United fans, looking to read between the lines of the potential deal, are getting very excited about the prospect of landing the forward.

Not least because of his recent social media activity.

As many Red Devils supporters have spotted on Instagram, the Madrid-born star has had a bit of a following spree.

Sure there are a number of different sports personalities he has followed – everyone from Lewis Hamilton to Lionel Messi.

But these are only scattered among a pretty consistent theme of stars including: Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Ibrahimovic, David de Gea, Adnan Januzaj, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney.

Oh, and Man United legends including David Beckham and Patrick Evra.

It may mean very little at this point, especially considering Morata’s recent comments to Onda Cero.

“I want to play and be important for my team, as next year there’s a World Cup,” said the 24-year-old.

“I’d be crazy if I didn’t want to stay. If I thought about playing more, I’d dedicate myself to chess or tennis.

“Will I go back to Italy? It would be very difficult so certainly not. I want to stay at Real Madrid.”

But that doesn’t mean United fans aren’t getting very excited.
