United suffer major transfer blow a Perisic is taken ‘off the market’ by Inter

Date Posted,June 25, 2017

Manchester United have suffered a major transfer blow after new Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti stated he wants to keep talented winger Ivan Perisic at the San Siro.

Perisic has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford following his impressive displays for the Italian giants and reports suggested that United were hopeful a deal could be finalised before they jet away on their pre-season tour to America in July.

Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his squad during the summer and having secured the signature Victor Lindelof from Barcelona, he is hoping to add more quality players as they prepare for life back in the Champions League next season.

But he will have to do without Perisic after Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claimed he has been taken ‘off the market’ and Spalletti is determined to keep him as he looks to help the club challenge for major silverware once again.

Perisic has emerged as one of the most talented wingers in Europe after scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists for Inter Milan last season.

But Mourinho will now have to switch his attentions elsewhere as he looks to bring in a pacy winger before the new season gets underway.
